Improving outcomes of maternity services in Lancashire and South Cumbria

Creativeworld Health has teamed up with Healthier Lancashire & South Cumbria to develop the marketing strategy for the Better Births programme, which is aimed at improving the outcomes of maternity services across the region.

The Five Year Forward View for Maternity and New-born Services (Better Births) was published in February 2016 and has now been followed by the NHS Long Term Plan as of January 2019 which has a dedicated chapter to future aspirations for maternity and child health. The overarching aim of Healthier Lancashire & South Cumbria Better Births is to improve safety, choice and personalisation of maternity services for women and their families.

Having worked with world-leading midwifery experts including All4Maternity, Midwifery Unit Network, The Practising Midwife and NHS Barts and being one of the leading health communication specialist agencies in the North West, Creativeworld were approached to utilise their expertise to execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the initiative.

Working closely with the maternity transformation team, we developed a strategic marketing plan aligned to key priorities for the region. This included engagement and marketing support, insight and research, development of a communications strategy and delivery of the key objectives set within.

Creativeworld Health produced several assets including brochures, information leaflets, display materials, printed and promotional materials to drive awareness and understanding of the plans.
